Daytime Restrictions Tuesday & Wednesday Feb 15-16
At 12th Street Intersection on South Side of H Street NE
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has authorized its contractor to close the south side of the H Street intersection with 12th Street to through traffic from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 15th and 16th, 2011.
During this period, the 700 block of 12th Street – this is the block just south of H Street – will be available only to local residential traffic. Northbound and southbound motorists are encouraged to use 13th Street as an alternative. Pedestrians may cross H Street at the 11th or 13th Street intersections during the period the 12th Street intersection is closed.
The closing is necessary to accommodate streetcar track installation across the intersection on Tuesday and the pouring of concrete for the streetcar track slab on Wednesday.
